Annual Workshop
Established in 1999, the CMIA annual Large Scale Workshop offers members operations insight at similar large-scale communities. This event ensures high-quality, interactive learning experiences for managers, fostering ample networking chances while maintaining reasonable costs for both the workshop and accommodations. Attendees benefit from an exclusive setting conducive to reviewing industry best practices and gaining insights into various operational facets of large-scale communities. Attendees receive continuing education credits toward their CMIA Master Community Manager (MCM) and CAI Large Scale Manager (LSM) designations.

Compensation and Property Profile Survey
CMIA administers Compensation and Property Profile Surveys, allowing members to compare compensation and benefits to other communities and to gauge the scale of their operation against others of comparable size and features. As a benefit, all CMIA members receive the survey results at no additional cost.

Master Community Manager Designation (MCM)
CMIA offers the MCM designation, recognizing individuals with verified on-site management experience coupled with formal college education and/or attainment of designations or completion of educational courses from related professional bodies.

Roundtables and Webinars
CMIA offers online roundtable events for the various disciplines within the large scale management field. Team members within the various fields meet online to discuss best practices, trends and other important issues. Quarterly educational webinars with experts on hot topics in our industry, including insurance, disaster preparedness, project management, and more are available for members to participate in or view online afterward
